Operation NIGHTCRAWLER is the Navy's toughest onshore training mission designed to separate the men from the boys in an urban survival mission that serves as the ultimate test of stamina, commitment and survival skills.

It is an all-night operation that includes various refuel assignments along a hard and treacherous route through the dense urban jungle of Hong Kong.

The mission traditionally ends with a training session the following morning at Stanley Main Beach.

Completing Operation NIGHTCRAWLER successfully is one of the highest achievable non-combat honors in the Navy and a general requirement for career advancement.
