Confidential: Operation NIGHTCRAWLER III

31 May 2005 - The Admiralty is pleased to report a successful completion of Operation NIGHTCRAWLER III. Despite a relatively low turnout, a hard core of Sailors participated in the most grueling urban warfare assignment of the Navy.

The Operation commenced on Saturday afternoon following two hours of training in Stanley. It then proceeded to various checkpoints in Wanchai for numerous refueling stops, cumulating in another training session in Stanley at 0900hrs the following morning.

Attendance levels were checked at each refueling stop. As the mission progressed, several Sailors were classified MIA, AWOL and 'Man Down'.

Congratulations to Lt Jr Gd Rauti and Petty Officer Beat for completing the entire mission physically unharmed (mental assessment currently in progress). This is the second successful completion of the Operation for both Sailors - a true sign of stamina and endurance that every Liechtenstein Sailor should aspire to!

Training at 0900hrs on Sunday was cancelled due to high winds and rough seas, to the disappointment of the five assembled crew members!
