The Navy proved today - at the Stanley Warm Up Races - that it is still a force to reckon with, despite a year of rebuilding the team! We finished in the top final of both races we entered - Men's Standard Boat and Small Boat.

In the Small Boats we finished P1 in the Heat, beating Stormies by 0.2 of a second, but they had their revenge in the Final with a blistering start. P2, nonetheless!

In the Standard Boats we came P2 in the Heat (with a broken paddle and dodging a windsurfer on the way...), P1 in the Semis (ahead of Windrider, the Police and the Sea School...) and thus qualifying for the Gold Cup A final, where we were thoroughly outclassed by the likes of Fire Services West (but still finished a respectable 5th).

Congratulations on an excellent result - especially to the rookies in the boat for whom this was the first battle test with the Navy!
